If you're ever near Kingwood, you should stop by Bill's Cafe. If you can get past the "you ain't from 'round here, are you?" looks you get when you first walk in, you can get a pretty damn good burger. Just don't go during the lunch/dinner rush or you'll be there for hours. They only have 1 waitress.
5 Guys is pretty good. I love Lia's burgers right here off 59 heading towards Bush Airport. Its a small place near my job, the shakes are the sheez. Fresh blended. http://www.b4-u-eat.com/houston/restaurants/reviews/rsv5225.asp The reviews below "Raths" are better, don't know what the hell he's ordering that costs 10 bucks.
Bill's was the best part of working in the dreary dumps of Humble, TX. However, the two best burgers I've ever had are from out-of-town: Ray's Hell Burger in DC and Shake Shack in NY.
went to bubbas on westpark for the first time this weekend. it was pretty good. ive had many buffalo burgers in my day, and theirs was probably the best. smashburger is good, but its not your traditional burger. little bigs is good for sliders.
I remember the burgers being pretty good at Tookie's in Kemah...that was many many years ago though, not even sure if its still open...other than that, I may have to try hupcap next time I'm in town... In Dallas, I like Village Burger, Frankie's and Steak n Shake...mmmm...
There's a little hole in the wall off of beltway 8 and Woodforest in the Channelview area called Wolf Burger. Best I've had in this area, juices dripping off your elbows good.
Thumbs up. This place serves an excellent cheeseburger. They also serve something that is probably deep fried creamed corn, which is sweet, appalling and delicious all at once. I probably only get it once in every 5 times I go there...but it is like crack.
Had a good Kobe burger at Ruggles Green the other day, and had a buffalo burger there another time that was extremely tasty - maybe one of my favorite burgers ever.
I used to love SmashBurger. But the last time I went there, it was crap. Since then, I've only gone to Tornado Burger (my current favorite).
Burger Palace gets my vote. It's off of Sage, right behind the Galleria. They use very well seasoned american kobe beef, and great toppings. My significant other and I go at least once every month (they have restaurant.com coupons) and we always get a Texas Cheeseburger and Spicy Vietnamese. The Spicy Vietnamese is essentially the heavenly blend of a delicious hamburger and a Vietnamese banh mi sandwich. The Texas burger kinda fuses fajita style caramelized onions, jalepenos, cheddar, bacon, and some aoli sauces. They also have the best fries I've ever had in my life. I highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area. My #2 favorite burger in town is probably the buffalo burger at Ruggles Grill.
If you like Koren BBQ, go to "OhMyGogi" food truck at Rice Village and get their burger, it's delish. I also like "MytiBurger" on west 43rd in the Heights
+1. Best burger I've ever had. The meat is seasoned perfectly, and the fried egg, mac & cheese, and jalepenos are to die for.
MytiBurger is in Oak Forest not the heights. The heights end at the loop. I've been eating burgers there since the 70s. Damn good at times.
Myti looks like a dumpy location. That's probably why it tastes good. Never been but I drive past it all the time and I always wonder about that place. Went to Hubcap yesterday in downtown. meat was good, not down with the buns. I'll have to try it again.
