With the compressed season depth is going to be extremely important this year. Which team do you believe has the best second unit in the league?

Denver? Who the heck voted for them? The bench is going to suck.

I didn't vote for them, but I think once they get their players back from China they will be dangerous. In the playoffs last year it was ridiculous how deep they were.

I think Miller, Fernandez, Brewer, Harrington and Anderson is pretty good as a second unit

Dallas is interesting with Odom off the bench.

Memphis' biggest weakness is their bench.

Chicago has a fantastic defensive bench.

I would still say Houston has the most complete bench.

Have to agree. I think our bench is almost as good as our starting rotation.... That can be seen as a compliment or dis ha.

Dragic could be a starter on a few teams in the NBA
Lee could be a starter on quite a few teams
Twill or Morris both could turn some heads
    Patt impressed me last year
Hill.... Weak point but he has shown he can play very well

When will that happen? And isn't Wilson Chandler a free agent when he comes back?

I would expect Fernandez to start. Brewer could not get minutes on a MAvs team that really needed him to be a rotation player. Harrington sucked for the Knicks and sucks in Denver. I would not want that bench for my team and would not expect my team to contend for a play-off spot with that bench unless I had a really good starting 5.

No idea. I know very little about the Chinese league. Chandler is a RFA, so I'd imagine Denver matches, he's very good.

Chandler is awesome and if he gets resigned in Denver he would be a starter not a bench player. In the mean time he is not even on the team so he can't be part of the equation.

BTW, Affolo, Fernandez, Chandler, Gallinari and Nene would be a really good starting 5.

I think at least to start the season out I would put Odom, Shawn Marion, Jason Terry, Roddy B and Domonique Jones for the Mavs ahead of Houston. But I expect Terry to have a really down season.

I think the Rockets bench is one of the best in the league and could be the best by seasons end.

Where's Minnesota? Crap poll... they have Rubio, JJ Barea, Derrick Williams, Anthony Tolliver and Anthony Randolph! I'd prefer that than our starting five.

I voted for Dallas too. Odom was last seasons 6th man of the year and I think Terry was the year before that. Toss in Shawn Marion and you have to give that bench some respect.

I do think Houston is one of the best benches and if Morris turns out to be a good pick, TWill & Hill matures, Lee & Dragon just keep doing what they did last season and PPat takes the next step then Houston could have a bench that rivals the early 90s version of the Piston. Of course with all the if's it's too early to say that.

Randolph has been a career spare up to this point, Williams & Rubio are both rookies that are likely to start if not now than soon but still unproven. Barea is a good bench player. I would not but that bench up there because too much is passed on potential and not on actual playing time in the league.
