I like it, as long as we didn't dump too much $$$.

We likely didn't pay him that much, so even if we did acquire a stud C, we got ourselves a great backup in him. Until then, we get a solid starter who can immediately improve our interior defense.

Some people say this sticks us into mediocrity, I disagree. We're not signing Dalembert to answer our hole at C. We're signing him to address the hole. Look at our roster. Two of our three best players are veterans (Scola/Martin), so the plans of going into "full-tank/play only young guys" mode was unrealistic anyways.

Right now, we should be in the mix for the last seed, again. But I think we may be more complete than we were in the past 2 years - especially if guys like T-Will can grow into key contributors.

I doubt there's much more to it than they're trying to make the team as competitive as possible while still maintaining flexibility. One can hope though.

Damn sucks for the Kings. They lose out on the Chuckwagon and Haitian Sensation.

Stern doesn't want us getting Pau Gasol. He could care less about us getting Sammy D.

Signing makes the most logical sense at this point. I'm not sure what else we can do.

Standards? Here? Since when? They say that desperate times call for desperate measures so I guess this move qualifies. I guess the reaction around here is a sad measure of how far this franchise has fallen from the days of Clyde, Rudy T and Hakeem.

You are right. We just lost our lottery pick next year in the deepest NBA draft. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO FRUSTRATED WITH OUR FRONT OFFFICE!

If either Hill or Thabeet prove to be a competent backup center, the Rockets will be 2 deep at every position.

Fox Sports Florida reported Tuesday night that Dalembert was on the verge of re-signing with the Sacramento Kings, but the Kings issued a news release Wednesday afternoon saying they had withdrawn their offer to Dalembert.

So basically Dalembert had the option to take Morey's offer or play for the Heat at the minimum.

My guess is it's a 2 year 18 million with team option on 2nd year.

Les is going to use Sam to milk a ton of money from Haitian fans like he did with Yao and Chinese fans.

Wait for Haitian sponsors to buy up all of the court-side displays at the Toyota Center.
