[predictable joke] They're probably too old for you. Meaning they're all over 18. [/predictable joke]
Time to turn in the man card. Real men don't have umbrellas in their drinks or have a facebook account.
OK, I shouldn't have updated to this timeline crap. I registered in Feb. 2005. In college at Texas State. Way before I met the wife. Time for DAMAGE CONTROL.
december 2005 and deleted it on sept 2008. Never had the urge to return to it. Been wanting to get a twitter account though just to follow our local athletes.
Sometime in 2006, I think. I just remember I had to use my ou.edu email address. Facebook is a tool just like Twitter (incredible for following the NBA these past few weeks). Depends all on how you use it. For me, it comes in very useful for planning get-togethers with friends I haven't seen in a long while and getting new pics of all my nieces and nephews. Otherwise, I don't use it at all. May post 1 update a month if that and only check it every 3-4 days. I guess I just don't understand the "cancel facebook, it's a waste of time" movement. How the hell did people let it become a waste of their time and why do they have to cancel their entire account instead of just using it less? You determine what you do with it, right? Are there some kind of uncontrollable social networking impulse/addictions that I just don't get? Hurry up so I can add you to my @clutchfans list. lol Best way to keep up with the Rox when out and about.
I created one late 2005/early 2006, my first year in university. Damn, seems like an eternity already. And Vin Diesel has the 5th most fans? wtf?
October 2008. I still don't use it a ton. Turned on the timeline feature and like it though. For people with young kids (like me), it is a great addition.
Back before anyone knew about it and you needed a school email address to join. I remember a bunch of friends were saying how myspace was way better and that fb would be nothing in comparison. hahaha.
Joined in 2006, got rid of it in 2009. I am glad I do not have a Facebook anymore. Too much drama and not worth it if you are in a committed relationship IMO
2007. I wanted to join earlier but at the time (2004-2005) I was working for a college and we were told by our boss not to have facebook accounts. This was after some purported scandal involving inappropriate teacher-student interactions and facebook messages, like people wouldn't have found a way to engage in that kind of behavior anyway if they really wanted to. I don't understand the recent trend of deleting accounts; I think it is to prove the "cooler-than-thou" thing. Usually the people end up reinstating their account a few months later, or starting a new one, though by that point they have a lot fewer "friends". For me it has been very useful for keeping up with friends who are out of town.
