I was looking to buy some Blu Rays. As I'm reading through the 1-star reviews on some of the big name movies I see one guy mention he only gave it a 1-star because it was cheaper on Amazon.co.uk.
I jump over there and sure enough... it's not only cheaper... it's A LOT cheaper.

Alien Anthology [Blu-ray]
£16.99 (equiv to $27.21) versus $68.50

Planet Earth: Complete BBC Series [Blu-ray]
£14.99 ($24.01) versus $40.66

The Complete Superman Collection [Blu-ray][Region Free]
£24.99 ($40.03) versus $55.99

Shipping isn't even that expensive though the ship times are high since it's coming from the UK. But overall it cost me $84 after shipping versus the $165 it would have cost me. Plus a lot the Blu Rays are Region Free on Amazon.co.uk.

Check it out next time if you're not in a rush to get them.

I wanted the Twilight Zone Definitive Collection, but it was a lot more expensive on the UK site. I'll compare though if I'm in the market for other things. Thanks

I was very very close to buying The Twilight Zone complete collection but then threw it up on Netflix. I'll buy it eventually though.

But will a British DVD play in an American DVD player? I think there are region codes that could affect whether the DVD is useable here.

The OP wasn't talking about DVD's. He specifically mentioned Blurays and even discussed how they are region free.

U.K is awesome... Some of their bluray/dvd have better transfer than the U.S version....

I've ordered Blu-Ray's from amazon.co.uk in the past and have had no issues playing them on my PS3

Not every blu-ray is region free which sucks because the UK have some dvds and blu rays that the US don't sell.

That had crossed my mind, but with 28 discs, I don't want to only be getting TZ for an entire year. Eventually buy it for myself for Christmas.

I've bought stuff years ago on amazon.ca cheaper than on amazon.com, but amazon.com pretty much owns me now.

I tried ordering from the UK Amazon as well as UK iTunes about 3 years ago and they said I couldn't do it. It seemed to be an issue w/my US billing address, iirc. Maybe something with the credit card, not sure.

I was concerned they wouldn't accept my order too but it went through just fine and I already got confirmation that it is processed. I will get it 11/25, so 3 weeks for shipping.

Do some homework first. I bought the complete BSG series on Blu Ray and it worked perfectly. Bought the Friends complete series as a gift & it didn't play.

That was embarrassing.

I use this site as a reference bible: http://bluray.liesinc.net/
