Well as the title says my Macbook won't turn on. All of a sudden today I unplugged it earlier, my charge said it had about 85% battery life and all of a sudden it went into sleep mode. I plugged it back in, turned it on, and it said 0%. 20 minutes later its at a 100%. I'm thinking something is wrong with the batter because I've had it plugged in for a while and when I unplug it it'll turn off and won't boot up when I hit the power button without me plugging it in. Besides the obvious of probably buying a new battery, any other recommendations to fix this problem?

I too have had mine for about 5 years. I was looking at the apple website at the batteries, $129! Are they cheaper anywhere else?

Yeah, sounds like you need a new battery. My macbook battery went out only after a year and a half of having it, and that was just less than a year ago. It's basically a desktop computer for me now. eBay offers some macbook batteries from China which you can get from $50-$70. I've been meaning to order one. How about you order one and give me a review of the quality and battery life?
