Welcome to the club. Who's your team?

Just don't watch Italian soccer. I can't stand it for the life of me.

The basic principle is DO NOT LET THE OTHER TEAM SCORE. :p

No, but seriously folks... I think you'll see different formations will attempt to use different skills according to players on the field.

From what I personally have played mostly, the stopper/sweeper configuration will defensively benefit teams with a strong attacking stopper and a leading sweeper who is the one dictating where the defense should push for an offside line. I recall seeing this formation more frequently in Mexico, though... I don't think I've seen it in Europe. I'm referring to the formation on the left on this here page: http://pointme.to/soccer/442formation.htm .

Seems like playing with a Libero, European teams did it for centuries but stopped years ago.

MacCity going to kick some arse today. The new superpower in football is now going to take over the rest of Europe.

Bayern the only team that played well tonight, disappointing night for English and Italian fans.

All those Man city or Man U fans have no place to talk after this.
Barca will rebound and I'm sure those two clubs will too.

with all due respect wtf u talking about? i didnt catch the city game but united got a good result considering they see the chelsea game of more importance. its obvious to see that the midfield of park, carrick, giggs, n fletcher are rusty.

Just bumping this thread before today's games. Sucks but I'm ill and can't make it to the Bayern match tonight (and neither to the Oktoberfest, despite great weather! ).

Anyway, GO BAYERN! Finally a team that one could even call an opponent, not a victim...

I'm ill too, but have no tickets(poor student). Feel for you. :(

Think it'll be a great match filled with energy, outcome 3-2 for Bayern. City happens to be my 2nd favourite club(before the millions came in, no bandwagon fan), but of course I'm only rooting for Bayern.

Remember how all my friends said Gomez is a bust back in 2008 after EC and his first Bayern games. No one believed me when I said Gomez is the most talended striker Germany has and will be the #1 German striker for many years. Should all holla at me now, lol.

Bayern so dominant this season, never in dangerous situations, always dictatin the pace. Love what Heynckes did with our guys.
