Better Adventure Movies? Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Caribbean?

After recent re-watches of them, I'd say it's pretty darn close.

Insanity, I say. Indy simply shoots the sword-wielding pirates and looks cool doing it.

Assuming you ignore the abomination of Indy 4...

    Indiana all the way.

I love the Pirates movies, but this is spot on.

The Indiana Jones trilogy is a timeless classic. Pirates is good, but not quite on the same level.

So many iconic moments in those films.

For real? Indiana Jones is ingrained in our culture.

Pirates is good but didn't have the same impact.

There is not one pirates movie that is remotely close to Raiders/Last Crusade, and I like Pirates just fine.

    It. Is. Not. Remotely. Close.

Oh yeah, Pirates is great... but not the ones of the Caribbean. Anyone, anyone?

    Definitely Indiana Jones

There was only one good Pirates of the Caribbean movie and that was the first one. All the sequels sucked.

A better question would be which Indiana Jones movie was the best. Raiders or Last Crusade?

    aw, you old farts.

I'd encourage you to re-watch the Indy movies, but I really don't want you to remove the sheen of child awe forever.

Are you kidding me? Indiana Jones had 1 bad movie and 3 good ones. Pirates had 1 good movie and 3 bad ones.
