What's the best value in food: Can any food beat out the Banana?

    Banana's are dirt cheap, and you add in the nutritional value, I'd like to hear your thoughts on about this. Maybe popcorn or rice?

    Dessert Bananas are a b*stard fruit... too sugary to make the wonderfood list. (Plantains, on the other hand, are awesome)

    Spinach is really king.

    don't like bananas.

    but I like banana's foster, banana bread, banana smoothies, banana chocolate pops, banana nut cereal, and banana cream pie.

    ehh, sometimes I'll eat a banana on it's own for the nutrients.

    Banana is the only fruit I crave at times. I mean the same type of cravings you get for bad junk food...I usually eat like 3 or 4 at a time when I get a hankering for a banana. And they're cheap! I love bananas

    Red beans and rice is just as good for half the price. All the essential amino acids, without bothering with the expense of meat.

    On awesome foods though, I can't help but be amazed by the incredible edible egg.
