Well damn, I guess I have most of my weekend planned now. Have never heard of them before but really dig their music. Thanks. Now only if I can find something to do on Sunday I'll be set.
Dillinger Escape Plan and Deftones tonight at Austin Music Hall. It's a sold out show I bet it's going to be a great. edit after show: Damn that was a great show. My ribs hurt so bad from the mosh pit. That place was crazy.
Damn. You gone for good? Sorry we never got to kick it, you always seemed like good people. Happy trails nonetheless.
For what, draggin your woman across the pavement using only teh pwoer of tequila? They usually don't kick you out for that. Not at first anyway. not saying why for a reason?
He's GREAT people, sad to see you leave mate. We'll keep in touch and see each other down the road! BTW anyone looking for something to do tonite my band, Inner Lights is at Rudz.
I'm at Fitz RIGHT NOW to see Diplo. Holla! I went to Identity last week and it was hot as ****. Deadmau5 in acouple of weeks Skrillex after that. going to M83 at warehouse later this year
Queensryche on Sept 25 in Austin at Emos. Judas Priest Oct 15 (I think) at the Woodlands. \m/ >_< \m/
How was the show? As much as I like Diplo/Major Lazer, I've mostly grown tired of seeing DJ-types live. I'm an instrument guy and not so big on dancing, so I figured I'd just pass on the show. Was he able to keep things interesting live? Also, I'll be seeing Active Child and Com Truise tonight at Fitz... I think.
Diplo almost burned that place down! The sets he plays and the music he mashed up were fantastic (If you love Dub/Dub-step) People were jumping all night and it felt like the floor breathing lol. BTW, Half way through the show ****ing Bun B shows up and starts free-styling to Paper planes and the place goes Bananas. He even did, "Front, Back & Side To Side"! He also brought some dude named Kirko Bangz to sing some songs. Pretty freaking amazing
Damn, that sounded like a lot of fun. Was this show sold out well before the event? I got an email about the event being announced like 2 weeks ago, but I've been away from town for so long. Jagi has done some really great things for the Houston indie scene. I think it has much to do with the Fitz venue being owned by the same promoter and club owner. A lot of bands that never would have turned up in the past in Houston now routinely visit. Very impressed.
So who else went to see 12th Planet and Skillex last night at Verizon!?! Insane! I can still feel the bass.
Bob Log III 10/15/11 - Austin, TX: Mohawk If Mitch Hedberg was a one man blues band, this is what it would sound like. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/AiDzv30CcT4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
