The scary thing about Green Bay is that they had a lot of injuries throughout the season. Imagine if they can come back totally healthy next year.

Given that Dallas played its last home game Dec 19 and were eliminated from the playoffs...you'd think they had enough time to install those seats.

Jones has too much political influence to get blackballed over this....but he won't be on heavy rotation like he envisioned. Even at best, it's going to be a while before they can get a redo....memories of this stink job have to fade.

Several entrance gates were closed, and ones that were open had malfunctioning ticket checkers...leading to 90 minute waits to get in.

The major taxi strike (not in the Cowboys control) was a disaster for Dallas - because those bad impressions stick.

The price gouging at hotels (also not in the Cowboys control) was also reported to be out of control.

Fair or not, the city and stadium are going to be hand in hand when people evaluate things - Houston got a black eye for traffic/urban sprawl (and post-Katrina crime headlines), Jacksonville was ripped for being a dinky one horse town, etc

IMO, the Super Bowl is best off in the elite warm weather convention/tourist cities:
Miami, New Orleans, So Cal...and maybe Vegas, Phoenix, and SA should be added to the list

Congrats to the Packers. I didn't like the contact on 4th and five but overall you have no business winning a game on this level -3 in TO differential. Bottom line: this is the 3rd game in a row where the Steelers didn't put together a complete game and it finally caught up with them. That and this Rodgers kid is pretty good while the Steelers Big Two (Ben, Troy) failed to deliver like they have in the past.

If these teams played 10 games they would go 5-5. Unfortunately, in a single-elimination contest the team that makes the fewest mistakes is astronomically more likely to win the game when it's all said and done. Green Bay was simply the better team last night.

I said it from the beginning: the Steelers needed to BOTH pound the ball and not play from behind. Unfortunately, with the mistakes piling up you take that playing from behind attitude and become more pass-heavy. So instead of pounding the ball on the ground (like the Steelers were doing fairly easily), Mendenhall had the key fumble that changed the game and forced the Steelers to look to the air.

I'll probably be having nightmare about Rodgers vs. William Gay for quite some time. It basically got to the point where Rodgers was only throwing to whoever Gay was covering.

Overall, it was just an ugly weekend in Pittsburgh:

*Last minute ticket/trip to Dallas for the Super Bowl denied
    *Penguins lost
*Evgeni Malkin likely out for the year
*Duquesne (my alma mater) had their 11 game winning streak snapped
*Pitt's Ashton Gibbs out for a few weeks due to injury
*Christina Aguilera, Pittsburgh native, messing up the national anthem
    *Losing the Super Bowl

Yeah, I'm ready to move on from this past weekend. Congrats once again to GB. We'll be back and we still have more championships than any of you suckas! ;)
