    I understand that India actually has the world's largest Muslim population so I can see that many there would be unhappy w/ Falwell's remarks. But exactly who was the audience over there that they were protesting to???

    I just don't get how the Hindus and Muslims got into it over Falwell. What the hell is going on?

    The tensions between them are already high. I'm sure the fact that Muslims were protesting was enough to mobilize the Hindus. If anything, they probably agreed with Falwell just because of the hatred between both groups. What's up with CBS? It doesn't seem that they have tried very hard to explain that they just report the news and that Falwell's beliefs don't represent the network's.

    I also fail to understand why a bunch of Muslims in India (I am a Muslim from India by the way) care what a jackass like Falwell has to say?

    Falwell is a moron. Rioting about him makes about as little sense as believing what Falwell has to say in the first place.

    Yes, Falwell sucks, which is why that Jimmy Carter thread was so satisfying. Gotta love anyone who tell Falwell to go to hell.

    Apparently, Fall-well has apologized for the remarks.

    When I searched for a link, I found him apologizing for a ton of other stupid comments that he has made. :rolleyes:
