    Bonds' season is over. Time to compare. So it boils down to does the HR record mean the most to you, or the BA and OBP all-around effectiveness.

    2001 90-72
    2002 95-66

    <table width=100% cellpadding=2><tr><td>Season</td><td>G</td><td>AB</td><td>R</td><td>H</td><td>2B</td><td>3B</td><td>HR</td><td>RBI</td><td>BB</td><td>SO</td><td>SB</td><td>CS</td><td>AVG</td><td>OBP</td><td>SLG</td><td>OPS</td></tr><tr><td>2001</td><td>153</td><td>476</td><td>129</td><td>156</td><td>32</td><td>2</td><td><font color="blue"><b>73</b></font></td><td>137</td><td><font color="blue"><b>177</b></font></td><td>93</td><td>13</td><td>3</td><td>.328</td><td>.515</td><td><font color="blue"><b>.863</b></font></td><td><font color="blue"><b>1.378</b></font></td></tr><tr><td>2002</td><td>143</td><td>403</td><td>117</td><td>149</td><td>32</td><td>2</td><td>46</td><td>110</td><td><font color="blue"><b>198</b></font></td><td>47</td><td>9</td><td>2</td><td>.370</td><td><font color="blue"><b>.582</b></font></td><td>.799</td><td><font color="blue"><b>1.381</b></font></td></tr></table>

    The blue bolded numbers are Major League Records. Bonds absolutely shattered Ted Williams OBP record this year. That gives him the trifecta of holding the SLG, OBP and OBS records. Amazing.

    Well, the Giants made the playoffs this year, so I'll take this year's Bonds. I also like the all-around play. JMO.

    i gotta go with bonds version 2K2

    hitting .370 with 46 dingers? holy crap!
    198 BB and a 1.381 OPS. that's sickening!

    plus making the playoffs.

    now if he actually does something in the postseason and hits over .200, then that cements it for me.

    2002=more statistically eye-popping.

    i'll go with 2002 because that obp is sick and probably the most important number. but that 73 homers alone makes 2001 equally eye-popping to me.
