Looks pretty cool. I'm probably going to buy it. Just wondering what you might think about it if you've played. The preview was awesome on the demo cd.

I think my friend got it. I haven't really asked him about it, but he said it was pretty cool.

From what I saw, it seems pretty cool. I read that you can either stay outside and freeze or go inside but be with The Thing. Sounds pretty cool. :D

edit: if you want, I could ask him more about it tomorrow.

Yeah, ask him about it and see what he thinks. Ask him if it's like Silent Hill where you solve puzzles and fight occasionally. Or if it's a crazy brawl from beginning to end. I hope it's like Silent hill. That was a spooky game and for the most part it was good fun.

I'll do that. BTW, there is a game site where I go and there are reviews from REAL people. You may want to go there. Here's the only one for the XBOX version:

    http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox/review/R40317.html

I think there are more under the PS2 version. I usually go here if I have a question about a game. Though some guys are a bit biased.

Ex: This sucks. It doesn't beat Mario. It sucks. 1/10

I didnt play it on xbox yet but the PC version is very good. The suspicion element
makes it different. My main character was travelling with these 2 other guys and they found these blood test kits and my comrades turned to "things" after being tested and had to be torched with the flamethrower. Its cool stuff.

I actually watched the movie on Sci-Fi a couple of weekends ago and they were pitching the game hard. I am going to rent this game before I buy it. It does look pretty cool. I rarely buy games without renting them unless they are called Madden XXXX or Halo X.

GOD I can't wait for Halo 2!!!! anyone else seen the trailer? :D sorry to get off topic.

3814 - gamespot is a great site, I don't pay for it either.

Ok, I asked him a few things today. I asked him if it was creepy like Silent Hill or action like RE. (is RE mostly action? I wasn't sure. I should have asked if it was just action or creepy kind of thing.) He said there were puzzles. Also said it was pretty cool, but hard. I think he's played all the RE's and both Silent Hill's, so he knows a few things about this type of games. Though I wasn't very serious about the questions, so he may have been just saying things.

(EX: "Hey, is Mario pretty cool?" "Yeah, its pretty cool." "Hey look, a bee." "Cool.")
