    My brother texted me last night: "Shane Battier, Jared Jeffries, and motherf*@king Yao Ming are at table three right now." 9:05PM

    He works at Uchi, which is a pretty swanky sushi place. Celebs are seen there somewhat frequently.

    I didn't get his text till this morning and asked if he had any pictures, but I doubt he took any. He's not a jokester and wouldn't have gone to the trouble to text me during work unless this was legit.

    By the way - does anyone know if there are any open practices for spectators? It would be a shame if the Rockets came to Austin and I didn't get to see them...again.

    I think the same thing. It's pretty fantastic - a good sized step above everything else in town and possibly the best place in the southwest although I haven't tried all the high end places in Las Vegas. In a place like Las Vegas or New York they would charge 3 times what they charge now and you would have to deal with a considerably more elitist crowd/staff.

    I bet to differ, you don't order the regular sushi, you order the iron chef stuff.
    I got the tasting menu last time, they some quail egg shooter and other stuff like wagyu beef rolls etc

    I wonder if they are gonna hit the salt lick?

    I agree. Its good but not great. Tyson Cole is all style, little substance which is why he got is ass handed to him on Iron Chef.
