I would take amare without a second thought. No matter what, a player with his talent WILL help ANY team. He plays enough defense to start. We can bring in a defensive lineup after our offensive lineup has built a lead.

    Offensive:
    Brooks
    Martin
    Bud
    Amare
    Yao

    Defensive:
    Lowry
    Ariza
    Battier
    Hill
    Hayes

Of course we will have to give some of these players to acquire amare, but we should still have a solid enough team to play decent defense.

The defensive lineup will be great......assuming we don't get blown out in the first half by having @ least 2 players on the court who CANNOT cover their man.

In your scenario the two obvious players are Martin (lol....Mr. Matador defense) and as of right now Bud (yea yea he's a rookie I know). You could even through Brooks in there......he's okay but I wouldn't consider him a good defender.

True. I think our defense last season wasn't bad (it certainly wasn't good) but I think having our 7 footer back will fix our defense tremendously. Amare would be perfect for those weakside block opportunities that Yao makes possible.

    Yes, I'd take Amare.

Ask Shawn Marion, Jared Dudley, and Channing Frye whether or not Steve Nash makes a difference.

Bosh is a better fit style-wise. I am not sure Amare-Yao would be a good pairing unless Amare is planning on carrying Yao up and down the court to save his feet.

Amare is much versatile, all around player than Chris Bosh. I take him with the heartbeat!

I would love Admare on this team. If we could get more big names it would attract other agents.
