Now there's a deal that makes sense. I bet it has legs.

The Pacers would trade up to third spot to draft Derrick Favors. No deal imminent, and source says Nets interest is "lukewarm" on it.

Granger is one of my favorite players in this league.

Seems like a fair trade because Pacers could get Favors or Wesley Johnson, and they can get there PG.

So does this mean my boy Dooling finally gets his chance at starting? ABOUT TIME! That team would be nice.

Terrence Williams is AWESOME. The guy is pure athleticism and can shoot. Paired with Granger AND Lopez? Boy.

Bird has been saying that he's tired of losing and that it's time to start winning.
It seems to contradict the purpose of this trade. They would be fielding a horrible team, but are hoping that they can get one of the top 3 picks next year and shoot for a superstar guard to put next to favors.

    Yes.

And if they don't do this trade they're going to be ****ing awful too.

They get younger and they get the possibility of a superstar at #3 who gets another 4 years to develop with a young, rebuilding squad. They will be in the lottery again next season. If they stay as they are, Granger is only going to get older and be wasted, they will be better this coming season than they will if they trade him, but they will be stuck in the late lottery again, which is no man's land. They need to put Granger up for auction and take the highest bid, frankly.

Wow - now that's a trade. I bet Morey is making some Granger calls right now. Isn't he one of those all stats guys that have bigger impact in the numbers than they seem to have on the court...something about how he gets paid a lot less than most superstars yet he puts up similar numbers.

We have anything better than this years #3 pick in addition to Aaron Brooks?
