Anyone tried them? Klonopin in particular? I would like to hear of other people's experiences. I've heard benzo withdarawal is the worst type of withdrawal imaginable though, most people have to be detoxed for several months.
Do you mean, as part of a doctor prescribed regimen for a specific disorder, or to get intoxicated for "fun"?
I will admit that in my experimentation with drug days I used to take Klonopin on occasion. They will relax you a good bit, kind of make your balance a bit off, not as pleasant as valium. Don't drive on them at all. But a beer and a klonopin will take the edge off.
I been taking xanax for three years as needed, not daily. I get 2mg bars and generally only take them by qtrs. When I do not take them for weeks I never get withdrawals but most people do. Withdrawals from benzos are no joke.
Rohypnols were popular in the mid 90's when I was high school and I saw some people get pretty addicted. it was kind of pathetic, they would drool and mumble and usually lose all their belongings by the end of the night...
Are you talking about taking them for fun or for a purpose? If you are thinking about doing it as recreation, youve definitely got a few screws loose up there.
1. Flunitrazepam 2. Diazepam 3. Alprazolam 4. Clonazepam Fortunately/unfortunately, Flunitrazepam is no longer readily available. Good luck. Be careful.
Benzos are commonly prescribed for anxiety disorders. They'll make you very relaxed, or put you to sleep if you over do it. Klonopins are one of the weaker benzos in my experience, so you don't need to worry as much about a medicinal dose knocking you flat out. And you're right about the withdrawals. I've never gone through it personally, but I have heard from many that benzo withdrawal is far worse than opiate w/d's. If you're going to take benzos, don't make it a daily thing for an extended period of time.
I had a love affair with benzos (valium and ativan) briefly in my early twenties. My tolerance for them built up extremely quickly (within weeks it took 40mg of valium just to feel the effect) and coming off was pretty tough although not nearly what it is for a lot of people (I just tapered off and then bit the bullet and went through some withdrawal for several weeks after). I basically just felt depressed and it made my anxiety about 100x worse than it was before. I left them alone after that but I will say they are the only one of the prescription drugs I've taken recreationally that gave me any sort of incentive to do it again after the first time. Stay away muchacho.
