Please keep this to talk about the series. As usual no Play-by-Play, or general Astros talk. If you need play by play see one of the many other sites that have game casts.

I predict that at this time next year, Prince Fielder will still be really fat.

I was watching them play the Twins the other day, and I couldn't believe it. The guy looks like he ate 5 Carlos Lees and had a Pablo Sandoval for dessert.

I predict Roy will not be traded but we will be a step closer to seeing Jason Castro behind the plate.

31 pitch first inning. Nothing like a great start to a game.

Remember when Hunter Pence and Ryan Braun were battling it out for rookie of the year and we were all trying to justify why Pence was better? Yeah, that was AWESOME!

    Yep, sadly I do... :(

Still think Pence will be a dam good player but Braun may end up being a premier hitter for the next decade.

Last year, by the end of fourth inning, Paulino's fastball would have dropped from 95-97mph to 91-90mph. In the sixth, I saw several fastballs right around 95, and his slider maintained in the 87mph range, where it would have been 80ish last year,

It's encouraging that he's holding his velocity. I'm not sure whether it was just recovery from the arm surgery or a special conditioning plan, but in my eyes it really makes him much more viable as a solid starter. At the end of last year, he seemed like a guy who was less than ideal as either a reliever or starter.

I feel pretty excited about him in the rotation developing over the next couple of years, barring injury.

I thought last year like this year he got off to a rough start. Last year he did pitch pretty well during the middle of the season. Let's see if that holds.

Paulino deserved to win this game.

BTW, I have impressed with Paulino's off season weight loss. Maybe his late inning velocity was helped by his off season work as well.

Paulino's been pitching well off and on. He oozes potential with his strikeout numbers, but just has to work on control and consistency it seems. Will he ever get it? Beats me, but the Astros certainly have time to find out.

A bit late, but I'll predict LLW.

Game 1: Already in the books.

Game 2: We give Oswalt zero run support and Narveson has been pretty good lately; not nearly as good as Oswalt, but he doesn't have to be with the Astros lineup.

Game 3: A win because Brett Myers has been pretty decent (high WHIP, lowish ERA) and Dave Bush is someone we could probably get some hits against.
