I have to admit that I worked pretty hard to get to the point that I can do what I do now. Of course even that work was mostly enjoyable.

I used to love my job when I started. But due to constant changes, unrealistic targets, and micro-management, I'm hating everyday of it.

I'm suffering from burnout now. I'm thinking of taking a career break, though it'll be quite difficult to find a job while without one.

Yes, I get to do all the fun stuff. Audio editing, video editing, photography (product), all graphics (computer or otherwise) and finally, my main asset, presentation design & finishing.

And working from home these past 10 yrs has NOTHING to do with it! :p

Work is no fun. Too much stress to really enjoy any aspect of it.

While I really don't like my job, it's not the fact that I hate what I'm doing that bothers me about it. It's the fact that we are only given 1 short life in all eternity, and this is how I spend the majority of it. Depressing.

Found the career I was looking for. I'm an acct. mgr for a synthetic turf manufacturer in Austin. I've never picked up anything so easily. It's a weird industry, but I'm making a name for myself in it. Our company is struggling a bit now that we've been bought out by a behemoth who cares little what we think or do. But I still like coming to work every day...even after they put me in a gray cubicle.

    You can change that.

I like my job. It has its ups and downs, but overall, it's the best job I've had. I get paid well, don't get micromanaged and I like the people I work with (for the most part).

After being out of work for 14 months, I enjoy the interaction with people and having a routine again...As for the job, not too exciting, not a lot going on, but I expect that to change real soon...

After living on unemployment for so long, forgot what it was like to get a paycheck...kind of nice...

Man, I’m envious. Show up, play, get paid, go home. That must be a sweet gig.

I’m benevolent about my job. A few years ago, I thought about getting back into teaching and even got a job offer as a band director. I turned it down because I don’t really want to deal with all the extracurricular stuff like after school rehearsals, Friday night football games, contests, trips, etc. I’m a work to live, not a live to work kind of guy. I have no desire to work until 1am every Friday during football season. Then I started back at school and thought about getting an MBA, but some crap happened last year and I sort of lost my motivation.

Now, I’m content to just stay where I am for the foreseeable future. I got a nice raise this year and with all these people not having jobs (a bunch of my buddies here got laid off in March), I guess I should just be happy where I am. It gives me my nights and weekends to do my band thing and it’s relatively stress-free. Plus, my company hasn’t been in the news lately and that’s always a good thing…

Good luck with your new endeavor. However, I doubt you need luck since you came up with the great idea behind Guitar Hero.
