I didn't like the way Silva went about things in the fourth and fifth round, but I hope they don't hold off on the GSP fight. Dana White strikes me as a bit of a douchebag sometimes. I can see why Fedor may be turned off by him. Anyway it will be interesting to see what comes of this.

Chonan was arguably winning that fight up to that point. That round he caught Silva with a leg kick that made Silva noticeably waver. A very good fight to watch in full, but sadly Silva has gotten a lot better and he has no problem acting like he knows it.

Looks like BJ was fighting a sinus infection. That explains why he didn't look normal. Can't wait for the rematch. http://www.MixedMartialArts.com/mma.cfm?go=news.detailv2&gid=229774
Nope, and there would be no point b/c Chonnan sucked in the UFC. He had a 1-3 record from 2007-2009. While it was an awesome submission, it was a complete fluke.
Anderson Silva is just that much better than the competition right now. I really think Belfort has a chance, but Silva used to be a dedicated boxer also, so I'd put someone with a boxing record over an MMA guy who happens to box well. Sinus infection or not, BJ was superior on all fronts coming into the fight. He gets taken down for the first time in forever? Who cares, Edgar isn't even a black belt, and Penn's an actual BJJ prodigy. His corner told him take it to the ground, but he sticks to standing. He probably thought he could pull off a crooked decision like Machida-Rua.
You see, thats what I don't get. They say in matches that close, it goes to the champion i.e. Machida. Thing is Machida got beat fairly soundly. Then they switched belts on the Rampage/Griffin match when Forrest didn't really do a whole lot to earn the W. BJ wasn't really beaten, I had both fighters losing. Dana should use his big mouth to address that just as he does eveything else.
