There must be other issues with Holmes that are not publicly known. He's probably more radioactive to the Steelers than we think.
I think Holmes could potentially face a 4 game suspension for substance abuse. Maybe he likes to get high too much

Holmes will most likely be serving a 4 game suspension and with Goddell you know one more slip up he's looking at a year long ban. Wouldn't the first time the Steelers jettisoned a talented young receiver from the Big Ten to The Big Apple and came out smelling like roses anyway.
I only like this trade if they trading away Roethlisberger somewhere as well. (Yes, it is a bad deal, but they're obviously just jettisoning a moral problem.) Without also doing something about Roethlisberger, they come off as racist. Reed is different... the Rooney's are Irish. They have no problem with drunken behavior. YES, PUN INTENDED!
