Is Comcast Blast 16Mbps the fastest available?

I got an offer for the upgrade from Comcast + phone line for $55 per month.

New/Current AT&T DSL customers can get the DSL Pro 3mb or ELITE 6mb for just $24 per month for 1 yr.

Love my AT&T DSL. I stay in Austin and had Time Warner for a while and it sucked.

CompuServe. I have with this icon that was on my desktop and on a folder called "Online Services" in my Windows '95 PC. It ROCKS! I am watching a video of a guy and a girl in a baseball stadium caught "doing it." It only took 1 day to download but it was worth the wait!

Does anyone know how to copy these photos I took with my Mavica??

ATT Uverse-12mbit. It is currently out-performing my parents 16mbit Comcast.

Comcast Blast, they advertise it to be 16mb, but it's closer in the 22-25 range directly from the modem, and 12-16 via wireless router. Highest DL speed I've hit with it is a shade over 1500KB/s.

AT&T/Sbcglobal/Yahoo, whatever. I've been a customer since the swbell.net days, lol. Pretty good service for the last 11 years and not very many outages at all.

So if your top speed is 1500KB/s, that's less than 16mbps. In other words, you say it's "closer in the 22-25 range" but have never hit that speed?

the 22-25mbit is benchmarked with modem hooked up directly to my laptop.

the 12-15mbit is benchmarked from my computer via wireless router.

the 1500KB/s is the highest torrent speed I observed ;)

I can't get ATT here in kingwood. I just cancelled my service w/ suddenlink cuz they charge $40/mnth for 1mb cable internet. they have some kind of monopoly in this area and can't get cable internet from anybody else.
