I've been seeing trailers for this for a long time. The fact that this has been pushed back to now scares me, usually not a good sign. Maybe they just didn't want to go up against Avatar?

I think it got pushed back because of financing. Anyways, just got midnight tickets  Love Scorsese getting back to thriller mode.

    The book was very good.

If it is done well it can be a very good movie.

Like I do for pretty much every other movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, I'm going to say that I think I'd be more interested if he weren't in the lead role. Don't know what it is about the guy, but I just can't bring myself to like him as an actor. Still, I'll probably go see it anyway. Scorsese is the man.

DiCaprio is far from my favorite actor, but his movies are usually well worth the price of admission. I usually like the characters he plays.

Should've gone with this guy over Dicaprio:

I agree with this. I think it's because he has the look and build of a 14-year-old boy, and that doesn't transfer well to a tough-guy, serious lead role.

Exactly how I feel. Body of Lies, Blood Diamond, The Departed, Aviator, Catch Me if You Can...

frankly it's been a while since he's made a movie I didn't at least enjoy.

Check out all the movies he's associated with in development: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000138/

I thought he was pretty good in blood diamond and believable.

Departed was silly and overrated imo so it didn't matter

Can't wait for this one. Dicaprio's movies are always awesome. Have to say that he chooses his movies the best out of any big-name actor these days. It's no coincidence that every big-name director wants him in their movies as well.

This Movie has to have a record for advertising. I think I have seen a commerical for this movie since September.

Can't wait to see it though

I thought that Departed was good, but not deserving of the accolades it received. It's a shame that films like Taxi Driver and Goodfellas didn't give Scorsese's the awards he deserved.
