I currently have t-mobile but I’m considering switching to sprint. How is the service?

The coverage is hit and miss. I get tons of dropped calls when I'm at work.

    Had Sprint for 7 years.

Liked Tmobile better...less dropped calls and much better customer service.

Now with ATT and like it the best

Cheapest cell phone company if you need everything type plans, coverage is hit or miss depending on location.

I have had good success with Sprint for 10+ years. They replaced an inoperable phone even though I did not have insurance and it was beyond warranty with no charges. I can't remember the last time we had a dropped call. Customer Service has always been very good in my experience. Reasonably priced plan especially compared to other companies.

My experience with them is like this. I got billed wrong a couple of times, but they were nice enough to take care of it. Only problem I have is with dropped calls when I'm at work in League City, other than that, no complaints at all. Pretty good deals on umlimited plans.

Does sprint really have annual upgrades? I still got my G1 and don’t want to spend $400+ on a new phone.

I don't think your G1 will work with Sprint

I don’t really call that much I average about 50min a month, but I use the data plain all the time. So is the 3g/4g equally bad and spotty?

I like Sprint because it's cheap and their CS is fairly helpful. Takes a while to resolve issues, but other companies haven't shown any willingness to haggle.

You're eligible for their premier plan if you're not already.

How the 3g/4g? I see how ATT and Verizon are battling out about who has the best 3g but sprint never gets mention. T-mobile is new to 3g but it’s fast for me.

We get $150 off a new phone every 12 months. Combined with the 2 year renewal discount, the phones are very inexpensive.

Also, if you buy the phones at a place like a Best Buy mobile phone outlet, you get the rebate without having to fill out any forms or wait for a check.

I know, I meant to say that I’m still stuck with the G1 cause I don’t want to spend 400+ for a new phone, and I have to wait every 2 tears to upgrade my phone but at the cost of a two year contract. I hear that sprint lets you upgrade your phone annually for around 200 or so. Is this true?

Using the Evdo on Sprint isn't bad.

My cousin has the Iphone using Tmobile. I have the Palm Pre with Sprint. Everytime we go out and look up information using the Tmobile/Sprint data, mine always pulls up first. But they do hear me say, "Damn no signal!" all the time.

I switched to Sprint a few years ago and will stay just because I told them I'm a UPS employee and they gave a 25% UPS employee discount for life. Tell them you work for UPS, they don't check.

My personal phone is an iPhone with ATT and my work phone is a 8330 Curve with Sprint. I carry them both with me like 90% of the time and this is what I have noticed...

    1. Call quality is way better with ATT (but it may be more phone than network I don't know)

    2. Both phones have about the same size 3g networks, but ATT is noticeably faster.

    3. The Sprint phone tends to get better coverage in high electronic areas. I work in various hospitals and I tend to get some connection with my Sprint phone while my iPhone is searching.

    4. Now that I think about it the call quality on my Sprint phone really is terrible.

That's about it. I don't pay for the Sprint phone so I can't offer any insight on cost to benefits.
