Yay more randomness since all i ever see is tmac and the same thread title for weeks being repeated ....

I was eating (not facing the entrance) with my family when suddenly my mother mentioned some dude taller than Yao. I was surprised when i turned my head wtffffffff. His wife ye li and him entered.

To keep the story long short, he ordered bunch of foods, 8-10 min later the restraurant was packed with reporters (i think the owner called them to promote his restaurant publicity)

He got up and left asap even with a crutch lol the fastest 7'6 escaping with a crutch ever and drove off with his BMW

Yes i was lucky enough to share the same air as my hero, it was surreal man, was sitting so near to him at a restaurant
Got to shake his hands and got his signature too ....

What a month meeting both Landry and Yao in person.

I recognize the Xin Xing sign. That's in Dynasty Mall at Bellaire and Corporate dr. I have eaten at the restaurants over there a few times.

It's a dick move by the owner. Yao ain't coming back, after this treatment.

    No, it's me.

You wouldn't post under a picture "this is I". You would post "this is me". Well, it also depends on his reference point, but me is actually acceptable...

You're right. It depends on whether or not you're using it as a subject or object. "Yao and I went to the store."
    Or
"This is a photo of Yao Ming and me."

In this case it is the subject. So, it is Yao Ming and I. Speaking of I, I hope you paid more attention in your pre-med classes than English.

    ;)

why is this turning into a grammar argument?
most americans dont care about grammar when they speak.
i will say "me and my friend went to this restaurant" eventhough i knew i should say "my friend and I..."

Ironic how he mentions how the rest. owner called for publicity, yet he's posting this pic and how he got a signature from Yao and Landry. I feel like this guy is a stalker. "Yes i was lucky enough to share the same air as my hero, it was surreal man, was sitting so near to him at a restaurant."

That happened today? Cuz as of this morning Yao Ming was seen publicly attending the Shanghai Sharks' home opener.

What the hell are you talking about? In what case? The OP's case, or the examples I gave? If it's the latter, my subject/object comparison was grammatically correct.

Not sure I understand why reporters showed up. It's not like the Rockets never give the media access to Yao. No need to go hunting him down.
