I saw this last night and thought it was great - I won't post spoilers or everything but definitely worth seeing, best thing Wes Anderson had done since Royal Tenenbaums. (btw despite looks it is very much not a kids movie, even though it's not especially risque).

adapting children's books seems to be the in-thing with the hipster crowds right now. First Spike Jonze does "Where the Wild Things Are" and now Wes Anderson does this.

Whats next? Curious George directed by Paul Thomas Anderson starring Zach Braff as the man with the yellow hat?

Is Anderson hipster? Bottle Rocket and Rushmore were like mid/late 90s I think.

anderson's attention to detail is what makes me appreciate his work so much. the work within the work, all the set details and artwork in his films, from the music he uses to the typography, it's all crafted by wes and he uses all his friends and family that helped him get his start when he was in Texas.

i heard he acted out each and every shot to detail how an animated film should be shot, to create his same style and translate it over an animated feature...

looking forward to seeing this this season...

was in Manhattan last week and saw this on Monday - absolutely loved it.

i can't wait to watch it again. in fact, i'm catching the free screening of it @ the Dunvale AMC. i heard the score from the movie on 88.7 last night, and felt all giddy about the movie. i recommend everyone - young and old - go watch it.

    "what the cuss" - hahaha...

Outside of Life Aquatic, every Anderson film has been a grand slam. Cannot wait to see this movie

Well, to be fair, Anderson has been working on this for nearly 8 years. It's not like his hipster radar went off and he ran off to keep up with the Jonze(s).

The Royal Tenenbaums remains the only movie I've ever walked out of and requested a refund.

As BMoney pointed out, this was in the works for a long time, same for Jonze and Where the Wild Things Are. Plus, a Curious George movie was already made, Will Ferrell voiced The Man in the Yellow Hat.
