I haven't watched many ESPN classics, so this is a little weird.

LA was loadedddd.

 

Gotta enjoy watching Francis-Payton go at each other's throats. They despised one another.

Francis' quickness and explosiveness around the rim was too much for the Glove.

 

DirecTV took ESPN Classic off their standard packaging and made it part of their Sports Pack which I refuse to pay for.

That, and taking away Versus = Not cool, even if Comcast is mostly responsible for the Versus issue.

It was quite a good game, outside of the fact that the Rockets lost.

And I especially liked how KB(8) choked @ the end of regulation, which he would NEVER do now a days.

 

I was only about 13 when this series was played, so I wasn't really an insider fan. I hadn't started watching every game til the Tmac era.

I only remember one sequence of events from this whole series.

It was Steve Francis' game-tying shot, and then his attempt to be a hero, shooting the same EXACT shot... air balling it.

yeah, i thought our execution was pretty bad towards the end. mobely had some nice drives though!

 

not in that game, god awful shot to end regulation, and a lucky one to tie the game, he played pretty bad that game, i caught it at the start of the second half so i missed my boi boki whoopin up on malone haha

I don't think he failed, he lasted a fair amount of time and I thought he played well with the Nets.

Didn't he sign with a euro team for $$$?

I think he fit better with a up and down team than with us.

I remember this game vividly. Extremly disappointing. I watched it in a hotel bar...
