Is overclocking worth it for video conversion?

    it is hard drive limitation?

    Seems CPU issue based on file size is only 4 gigs and it take hours to complete.

    The 6000 isn't a great overclocker, is it? Even if it does overclock, I doubt it'll give you much of a performance boost - you'll more than likely still be waiting a while for it to get done.

    Hmm... I just saw some results of somebody overclocking it and running Windows Media Encoder. He bumped the clock speed from 3 GHz to 3.22 GHz and it dropped the encoding time of whatever he was encoding from 1:46 to 1:42. I'm not sure how much power and heat you're going to be releasing and whether your stock cooler would be enough for the overclock, either. If not, then it becomes a question of whether spending more money to save a few seconds or a few minutes is worth it by turning a 125W processor into a frying pan.
