This is what happens when you post articles by Bernard Goldberg. He's an extremely stupid man who produces useless garbage that doesn't hold up to any kind of scrutiny.

Here is a summary of the evidence.

Bush Volunteered = testimony referred to by Goldberg, and one report of mere hearsay.

Bush didn't volunteer = Bush's own admission that he didn't volunteer. The document which shows that Bush checked the box indicating he would not volunteer to go to Vietnam, and that he did not volunteer.

Let's weigh the evidence and see which is stronger.

I assume if W. really wanted to volunteer he could have just walked into any recruitment center at the time and enlisted; like Al Gore did right after Harvard, and probably still been given a safe assignment. But he didn't, same as Clinton, and 35 years later the best news division in television permanently destroyed their reputation and killed a potentially great mid-week prime-time news program by playing politics. I cannot believe we hinged our second-most recent election on the modern equivalent of bootlegging.

Thank goodness we're electing Gen-Xers now, bring on the cocaine, ecstasy, frat-boys in blackface and online p*rn scandals.
