    Definitely the most unique movie I've ever seen. I wonder what type of roles John Cameron Mitchell has done since then.

    You mentioned this next: I thought Control was pretty much perfect, though it was more about the alienation of fame than the music itself.

    Sid & Nancy, even though it was also based on real persons.

    A Mighty Wind for the Tappin'.

    American Graffiti & The Big Chill were nostalgia factories for the music of their respective time periods. I don't think they would have existed without the soundtracks.

    Mo' Better Blues makes it mo' better.

    Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (John C. Riley is underrated)
    Rock 'n' Roll High School (The Ramones!)
    A Hard Day's Night (My favorite of the Fab 4)
    8 Mile (Not a big fan of the Eminem persona, but I have to give him props)
