[recipe request] Tex-Mex restaurant style rice?

    Do they taste like tex-mex-restaurant rice? I'm skeptical - NONE of the packets or boxes I've tried has been right.

    I'm not sure, because I would venture to say that it varies from restaurant to restaurant in some way. I would say that the flavor with goya is not typical of tex-mex rice but in my opinion it's a million times better.
    One other thing to remember when making rice is to always have the water preheated before mixing with the rice.

    my mom uses the knorr as well but she uses slices of onion and bell pepper or a can of veg-all

    Yup, but more flavor. Better than Teotihuacan and Spanish Flowers, IMO. Its the same recipe my mom used in her TexMex restaurant.
