I doubt most people could even name a national newscaster. THe 6 o'clock news ain't what it used to be.
It's hard to take this poll seriously when it's obvious that Jon Stewart, while very funny, has a liberal bias. For impartial news reporting I would go with Brian Williams.
I think this has less to do with who people trust and more to do with the fact that NO ONE watches the network news anymore. Seriously, I had to actually look at the poll to realize that Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw weren't doing the news anymore.
LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL Ok, sorry about that. You are right. Brian Williams is a perfect example of impartiality. LOL...
Ok, I do agree he does have a bias, but at the same token he does not let up on them either. Heck, there were times he and McCain looked like bff's
The poll question itself demonstrates its relivance. Cronkite's been retired since 1980 -- almost 30 years! -- so why would his passing impact who'd be the current most trusted 'newscaster.' And why was Stewart on the list, and not O'reilly, Letterman, or Chevy Chase?
Iowa's strange. If you click "next poll" you'll see they like Bing more than Google. http://www.timepolls.com/hppolls/archive/poll_results_418.html Also the totals on the left side are wrong ... so I don't know what's really going on.
