Picasa 3 . Anyone who's looking for an image viewer look no forward. This is IMO is the best image viewer out there.

I've never understood why I need an image viewer?

Me neither. The only use I have for Picasa is the automatic red eye remover. It is pretty rad.

You might need a different image viewer than the one that comes with your default Winders installation because of the many more additional features it has over the one on your XP or Vista.

For example, the image viewer in Vista doesn't show you a strip of all the images in the same folder as the current image like Picasa does.
Be careful, dude. YouTube is gathering information on you as you speak.

    I like the program.
I dont use it as a viewer, I use it as an image editor and background maker.

I don't think so. I mean, it comes with SOME applications, but it's not its job. Do you only use Notepad on Windows or vIm on unix-based OS's?

I guess I'm kinda backwards. I don't like using it as an editor (I use Photoshop 7). In fact, the way I use picasa is.. I use it's picture viewer app to browse through my pics, and when I find a really good one, I click upload and upload it to web albums. I don't use the actual Picasa windows app.
