Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread).

6-5 Jeff Karstens, RHP (2-2, 4.83) vs. Mike Hampton, LHP (3-4, 5.07) 7:05 on FSN

6-6 Paul Maholm, LHP (3-2, 3.82) vs. Roy Oswalt, RHP (2-2, 4.28) 6:05 on FSN

    6-7 Ian Snell, RHP (1-6, 5.64) vs. Felipe Paulino, RHP (1-4, 6.21) 1:05 on My20

I'd be stoked if we get 2 out of 3.

    WWW

I think each match-up is favorable to us. Hampton seems to have turned the corner, Oswalt too, and Snell just sucks.

Believe it or not, Berkman has about the same OBP as Tejada despite his struggles.

Do you have to keep pointing out Tejada's weak points? :)
honestly, if we don't trade him right now(with his ridiculous .350 avg) we'll be missing out on an opportunity to sell high.

    :D

Well, it points out how good Berkman is as much as it shows Tejada's weaknesses so I guess you can look at it both ways.

I wonder who would be interested in him and what they would be willing to offer. Who needs a $15 million contact hitting SS that walks about twice per month and plays subpar defense?

someone desperate for some offense out of the ss position(Mil or CWS), maybe an AL team with a DH spot they want to fill. if matsui comes back healthy(ever), i'm good with maysonet starting at ss.

    Yea, maybe. We'll see.

Pitchers are starting to go inside on Bourn. He'll make yet another step forward if he learns how to deal with those inside pitches.

Let's get Mikey some run support. He's pitching a heck of a game and even scored a run for us.

This has to be one of the worst base running teams in the history of baseball.

No doubt... with Berkman on deck and Pence at third.

Caught stealing 21 times as a team, leading the NL.

It's so bad Drayton even made reference to it in his interview the other day.

The only run they've scored so far came after Berkman couldn't field a ball cleanly enough to get the lead runner followed by a bloop hit in front of Pence.

should have walked jack wilson to face the pitcher, i don't like letting the #8 hitter beat you in that situation.

Good call. I didn't even notice that. A couple of coaching blunders. First, having Lee try to stretch out a double then pitching to Wilson... all in the course of 1 inning.
