ron missed the jumper but that's how you take advantage of the fronting. use yao as a pick and then yao's man isn't in position. a really good wing drives that to the basket and gets a layup or foul but artest isn't that fast.

Look, I get that Yao's not being aggressive, but we have missed SO, SO many entry passes. Brooks has been the worst. Artest isn't much better. And with how much the two of them handle the ball, there you are.

 

***** artest. just give Yao the damn ball. And if ur gonna use him as a screen drive all the way to the basket not pull up for an awkward looking jump shot. The lane was WIDE open, even if some defender came to help you would've probably drawn a foul. The game is still within Blazers reach we need to put our foot down.

 

Wow. Artest didn't shoot in the first half, but already has more shots than Yao....

 

Watch Yao trying to get position....foul about half the time but hes so big no one notices. What does matter is that with Yao ineffective offensively we still have enough scoring to win. Wont work against the Fakers though....

 

its not the fronting, its the fact that his left arm is constantly held down. at least he is holding down the middle on defense

He has 13 boards and a bunch of blocks and he's getting his teammates shots. Yao is still a factor out there, just not as much as we would like on offense.

If the refs play Yao fairly. Any Nba team that plays against Rockets will end up playing 5 guards by the end of 4th quarter coz of foul trouble on their bigs ><

 

13 rebounds in 32 minutes....Does "useless" mean something different than what I've thought the past 30 years??
