Except that involves putting almost everyone on ignore.

Plus you can't get people's posts displayed and organized on a mobile device.

My main use of it stems from receiving updates from the major news outlets I like, as well as new songs and news in the music scenes I like, plus Rockets/sports updates all in one program. It's just easy and convenient.

 

Then there's Alyssa Milano who is constantly updating, many times with pics.

Seriously, though, these people twittering all the time must either have no kids or no school or no work. How do you find time to be doing this nonsense crap on the phone constantly... and posting it on the interWebnet?

All the twitter-haters in this thread kinda make me want to get an account. But, I know that between work and wife and kids, I'd have no time for it.

 

I have it on during work and then just check when it pops up to see who it is.. twitterfox is my friend.

 

I had asked my followers a question like, "I would like to try out new green tea, any suggestion?"
About 5 minutes later, I got a response from a tea company with a link, "Have you tried this? You can read what others are saying about this product also."

Guess what.. I ended up buying something from that store.. not the exact product though.

I finally registered but I don't really understand this. How do I get tweets to my phone? I just want Rockets info to be going to my phone. Right now, I only have Shane Battier's MogoTXTs going to my phone.

 

depending on what sort of phone you have you can get a twitter app for it.

you can also set up your phone to txt directly to twitter to update that way.

i would not recommend getting regular tweets or @ tweets sent to your phone via text.

i just have the direct message feature set up that way since i never really check the direct message feature thing on my own.

 

well, i have sidekick lx and it doesn't have twitter app...of course, it's a p.o.s.! why are you not recommending regular tweets to my phone? will i get EVERYONE's tweet on the rockets page? if so, then that's a good idea not to set that up.

 

The Rockets Twitter was giving out tickets to the last home game. They would twitter from different locations and if you showed up you got a pair of tickets.

So yeah, there's some entertaining stuff there depending on what you subscribe to.

Like Shaq's, for instance.

 

uses up txts real quick and depending on how many people you follow it can be a lot.

you can set it up where it will send a text whenever a particular person (maybe me?) tweets and it goes to your phone
