reminded me a bit of Rex Chapman's 3 in the playoffs for the Suns...in the sense that he was dribbling right, far beyond the 3 point line and off-balance (and not his usual release)

Exactly what I thought of too. Heck Rex did it TWICE!

The guy is on a roll. I saw the Kings' shot live but this one was just as good.

Well, if the Rockets finish the season 4-0 (or 3-1, with one of those losses against Kings/Warriors, as opposed to Hornets/Mavs), we almost need the Hornets to keep winning now. Obviously, we'd want them to beat the Spurs. Plus, if the Spurs went 3-2 and the teams were tied, and the Rockets get 3rd seed, you'd rather play the Hornets than the Jazz. The Jazz have a difficult stretch of games coming up (@ Dallas, @ San Antonio, finish season @ Lakers), but nonetheless, if they finish tied with the Hornets record wise, the Jazz have the tie breaker.

Clearly, we want playoffs to be:

    1. Lakers
    2. Nuggets
    3. Rockets
    4. Spurs
    5. Blazers/Hornets
    6. Blazers/Hornets
    7. Jazz
    8. Mavs

    to set up a potential Nuggets/Rockets 2nd round match-up.

Basically, what I'm saying is, I was really rooting for the Hornets last night, so good for Butler.

The Hornets, mind you, finish the season vs. Suns, @ Mavs, vs. Mavs, @ Rockets, @ Spurs....BRUTAL!

I think he took a couple of steps without dribbling, once he caught the ball.

    Amazing shot nevertheless.

Brilliant shot. No fluke at all. Yes,it was quite similar to the Chapman shot.
