Looks like a King snake. We used to get those all the time in Katy when Katy was still in the country. My buddy and I used to catch snakes and turtles and sell them to Spectrum Fish & Pets on Mason Road.

If my wife walked outside and saw something like that picture, she'd pass out. That's pretty freaky.

My two fellow League City folk are disturbingly missing from this thread. I hope they were not consumed. :(

If you see a snake you're not in the hood.

I would never adorn my beautiful feet with snakeskin. That's an insult. The_Conquistador only wears the skins of noble beasts, such as gator, lizard, ostrich and cow.

I killed a snake in my garage this weekend. A little smaller than that one. As far as I am concerned snakes don't really freak me out, I have lived ina rural area most of my life and killed many of them (some well bigger than the one in the picture). I tell you though IMO the only good snake is a dead one.

i would guess that too just by the look of the shape of the head. i would also guess king snake. it'll do you good to keep it around. they keep rodents away.

As another poster noted snakes take care of rodents and other pests. Then again I've eaten snake so a dead cooked one is OK with me.

Is it not an adult Cottonmouth? Looks like one to me. Hard to tell b/c the shape of its head is distorted by the large frog it's eating.

    i love snakes :D :D
as long as they are not poisonous and try to bite me.

definitely not a cotton mouth. the yellow striped band around the mouth is a dead giveaway.

i think its this snake too or a yellowbelly water snake..but looks more like the blotched

I think you should be glad it wasn't this snake. Mildly NSFW.
