I thought I had found all of their gems, until I found "If That's What your Into" on this bit - That's what your into
I just recently discovered these guys as well. I bought their CD, but I haven't yet gone through all the episodes from season one. I freaking love their style of humor.
Funny movie if you're a FOTC fan, it's kinda like Neapolitan Dynamite with love story mixed in.. I read an interview not that long ago where they mentioned that HBO wanted to renew them for another season, but they weren't sure when it would happen. Apparently it took them a good while to come up with all their material for the first season, and they didn't think they could make as good a show so quickly. That was maybe a month or two ago when I saw that interview (not sure when the interview was conducted).
I think the funniest episode was the one with the Bret-Croissant Shop Chick gender reversal. "I'm going to Iraq... tomorrow"
I thought the second season was extremely disappointing, and I loved the first season. Fortunately, Eastbound and Down made up for it.
I've only been to Australia once, but the subtle things about the Aussie girl seemed very familiar. Nicknaming him Big J and the coarse language were very Aussie things. The other stuff like how her apartment was decorated and making Jemaine dress like Steve Irwin was obviously exaggerated but still funny.
I absolutely adore Flight of the Conchords. Their performances are just amazing, so funny and entertaining. I'm lukewarm on the show. Their covers of their live material usually isn't as good. But when the show hits, they hit home runs. I've been watching this clip a lot lately: <object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bte1M8d2Mu4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bte1M8d2Mu4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object> "I really think it's hot the way she looks left a lot" Brilliant!
This season had some good moments, but the gags seemed to get a little redundant. I still enjoyed it though. Too many dicks on the dance floor!
New Zealand. Better than Old Zealand. New Zealand. It's just like Lord of the Rings. New Zealand. Bring your Mum. Those posters are always the best part of the show.
