Go to the other machines, type "ipconfig", and ensure that they have a different IP address.

If they have the same IP, turn of all other machines, reboot the troublesome machine, and attempt to connect to the internet. If they have different addresses, go to start->run and type 'msconfig'.

A box with a bunch of tabs on the top should come up. Click on the tab all the way to the right. If possible, list anything that you don't know what it does. Specifically look for 'bymer.scanner' or 'distributed net', as well.

    Hey guys,

My name's BandGeekMobster, and this is my thread now...

This is a mouse issue. I'm currently using a logitech cordless and ball-less mouse. Like a month ago, the third button quit double-clicking like I had it set to do. Instead it just goes back a page on the browser. This didn't really bother me, but now a new thing is missing. My wheel no longer scrolls up and down the page, I have no clue why, but it just stopped doing that for me. I use this feature way too much to just try to adapt to clicking the scroll arrows on the side of my window!

Anyway, I go to mouse in my settings window and it won't let me change anything. (Everything's grayed out so I can't click on it)

Under device info in the mouse section, it says "Cordless Mouseman Optical on the PS/2 Port" and it's in an arrow box, but when I look at the list, there are no other devices listed.

    Help!
