I wonder. The guy throws his teammates under a bus, he throws Keith Jones under a bus, it's widely accepted that he threw Horace Grant under a bus in Orlando after Grant criticized him, there's rumors he did the same thing to Bonzi Wells after Wells criticized him.

Face it, McGrady sounds like a douche because he is a douche.

Joe Johnson would be nice, I believe he's one of the FAs in 2010. I don't know how realistic, but seems more so than Wade, James, or Bosh. Who knows?

 

So, aside from him, Rockets is an "average team"? 4th in the tough western conference with him poisoning the locker room with this kind of crap talk, you call that an average team?

though coming back from a broken leg, yao actually played better in the utah series than he did in the mavs series where he got screwed squarely by the refs.

if you call 25-10 performance an "abuse", then what does that say to your understanding of bball? he didn't perform superiorly, but far away from being "abused".

now back to mcgrady. okay you had a shady team in orlando so you couldn't pass the 1st round against the pistons who won it all. okay. but how about the 2 playoff series with yao? for him, it's always he doesn't have enough help. guess what? that's a loser's mentality. yup, a.i. had tons of help when his team made it to the finals (and took game 1 of the series in the lakersland all by himself).

those criticisms about the failures in the playoffs weren't all fair, but some call him a loser for a legit reason.

I don't disagree with you. I don't think McGrady is blame-free. Far from it. You want the glory, you take the blame too.

I wasn't clear in my meaning by abuse on Yao's part. I meant on the defensive end. I don't "blame" Yao per se. He has physical limitations.

It's part of the reason why I usually just accept that Yao can't guard the PnR, and that people like McGrady who have shown the ability to be good defenders, just plain choose not to be irk me a bit.

The Rockets have done all they could to add talent around him, they've given him the best center in the nba, brought in the greatest role player and defender so he wouldnt have to defend and he still says crap like this????

I understand in Orlando, but not here, not here at all.

last year I will give him a pass the entire team was banged up but the two years prior they should have been in the second round at least


how do you lose 2 series after being up 2-0 in both...the mavs series is even worse since they won the first two on the road. There is some insane stat that show that teams up 2-0 going home win like 98% of the time or something. I know the rockets were undefeated in playoffs series after winning the first two games of the series until mcgrady came here.

i am through with him hopefully we can all forget about him now and focus all our attention to those who deserve it.

It's an insane quote. McGrady can excuse himself for anything. The thought of Kobe Bryant ever crying on TV and complaining that he was tired is ****ing laughable. No superstar runs out of gas faster than Tracie.

 

First, TMAC has not only had average teams. 2nd, he probably should not compare his will to win with Garnets

 

You rarely heard KG complain about his supporting cast and you couldn't accuse him of quitting in Minnesota. He sucked it up and didn't respond to the critics.

Tmac is the opposite. He goes out of his way to protect his image in the media.

'It's on me' was his lone, failed attempt at taking ownership.

 

In order to be successful you must always shoulder the blame and not place it on others. If you blame everyone and everything else then you will never become successful.

There are certain situations where you know it may not be your fault but you do something about that. You don't throw your teammates under the bus.

I hope we get rid of this loser.

The thing is, Tracy needed a microfracture even last offseason. Remember doctor's comments? He said there was a damage in McGrady's knee but they decidec to just remove those lose bodies around the cartilage.

Why? Because McGrady knew it was supposed to be 'that year'. But he just couldn't overcome that. We all know McGrady is not a player who is willing to play through the pain.

So the surgery should have been done earlier, but still. It was a great decision, because this surgery isn't as serious as Webber or Mashburn had. If T-Mac rehabs, he will be back.

I do belive he will be back. But it was a very good decision. Now it is on you T-Mac, do your homework.

 

Both our superstars got "abused" that series. McGrady only shot 39% while being guarded by a combination of Fisher, AK, and Harpring.

 

Yao + Artest + Joe Johnson/Michael Redd > Garnett + Pierce + Allen

 

Yao was shooting under 50% after his injury for the most part so it had nothing to do with Okur's defense. TMac on the other hand...

Exactly. T-Mac was healthly, but for some reason he has nojumpshot. He was driving 70% of the time in that series because his jumpers was off.

Yao, well, the guy was comming off a tough knee injury and I belive he just wasn't in the right shape.

But even with T-Mac and Yao playing pretty average or even bad, we SHOULD have won.

4 guys scores in a single game. It is unbelivable. It is NBA, come on.

Remember game 7? Kirilenko, a guy who couldn't buy a bucket all series long, made a well contested 3 from the corner. Than Okur added 2 pretty tough 3s. But that is what it is. Great teams make great shots when it matters...
