I like Air Bull but like other posters, I wish he'd cut down on the homerisms. There seems to be a little too much of it recently.

Just call it like you see 'em. (Or maybe he really sees them that way.)

    ^ LOL

Clyde has actually grown on me. I feel he is more natural and doesnt try so hard to be a "commenatator." Bull talks too much and is always "on."

Plus Clyde was actually a great player, so I feel he does have some real insight.

Dont get me wrong he still sucks.

Bullard is all right, but he's not a great color guy. Yes, he's better than Clyde and light years better than Calvin (who isn't?), but he's corny, a homer, and he doesn't add that much to the conversation. I loved him as a player, but I wish the Rockets would look outside the organization for a color analyst.

I'm not usually that bummed if I get the away announcers when I watch the Rockets on League Pass.

And for the record, I thought Van Chancellor was the best color guy we've had since I started watching the team. Yes his accent was thick and at times grating, but he gave solid analysis and was a good partner to Bill. Bill is a lot better when has someone to provide quality color, and he can stick to the play-by-play.

I really like his X's and O's analysis. And I've accepted his corny humor as unintended shtick. But he's definitely a homer.

Definitely Bulls appreciated and he's bringing the old telestrator back with his "Bulls eye" segments during the game. It reminds me of Calvin Murphy's breakdown of a game. He use to do that well also. I miss Calvin, we really need to bring him back.

Where are Bill and Clyde appreciation threads? :D

Actually, I like Bulls-Eye. And our commentators are funnier than most teams. Sometimes watching tv feed from other team is boring as hell.

Agreed lol, but as a Rockets fan I would rather hear the voice of a biased commentator than a guy who supports the clubbing of cute arctic animals

Hey, I love Bull! He's a certified homer, but he's not as bad as a lot of the guys you hear on league pass. Listening to a Rockets game with another team's announcers is absolute torture, especially when it's the Spurs or the Mavs.

i think both our announcers (bill and matt) does a great job of not being a homer....cuz when i watch other teams on their own channels...the people that call it thinks that all foul commited by their team is not a foul...a lil bit like deke but deke is just funny....=)
