Being humble is not something you learn, it's something that is inside you. You can learn to pretend to be humble, but what good is that? He is in his early 20's and a millionaire, what is the incentive for him to change his ways? What a punk! My inital feelings about this jackass still hold true. I hope he will never reach conference championship, much less the Finals.
Classic journalism...taking a quote right out of context to get a story. Anyone can see the importance of the last sentence inthis quote " "I can't do this all by myself," McGrady said. "Baron has it easier. He has lots of help. Look at his team. Look at my team. He has guys that can score, that can rebound every night. Our guys have been sort of inconsistent at that. We're searching for guys who can rebound every night. But we're going to make this work." He says "hey, we don't have these players...but we'll get there" The quote as it appeared was ""I can't do this all by myself," McGrady said. "Baron has it easier. He has lots of help. Look at his team. Look at my team. He has guys that can score, that can rebound every night." This makes it look like he has given up on his team mates... MASSIVE difference...
Winning isn´t always about being the better player or having the better players. A lot of the time it´s about having the right attitude and team chemistry. In those areas I have to say that T-mac is lacking badly.
Then how did the Magic win as many as they did? Without TMac, they looked horrible. With him, they were a whole different team. They have good chemistry and a winning attitude all around; otherwise, they wouldn'tve gotten that far. Charlotte had more weapons than Orlando, especially where the Magic were weakest, and took advantage of that.
