I had a high ankle sprain over the summer and couldn't put any sort of pressure about a week. On top of that, I didn't get full movement back in it for another month and a half. Let's hope this is not Tracy's case.
I read from 2-3 weeks up to 6 months to heal. Knowing the rate at which T-Mac usually recovers from injury lets pray that it is closer to the 2-3 week prognosis. I say he is out until All-Star Break, which is fine that will give his knee additional time to rehab and get stronger.
Nothing really to hate on about - it's a legit injury that he couldn't help. Hopefully it's just minor and he can be back before or right after the ASG. If it's a major one, and I doubt it is based on the initial report, we'd be looking at 6 weeks before he could go again (at half speed). Evan
Severity is everything. And the thing about it is, ligaments don't usually ever heal back to 100%. Ask anyone that had a severe sprain (vs a strain or a turned ankle) - it's why some people have to learn to live with "a bad ankle". But again, this doesn't sound like a severe sprain based on McGrady's comments. Evan
Weird. Normally I would image that people who step on other people's feet will get his ankle sprained.
God damnit Yao...the amount of injuries this team has is ridiculous. Especially, T-Mac. It's unfair. Or maybe it is fair somehow I guess, because if we didnt have any injuries, it would be unfair for everyone else.
