    I don't blame you for this. I've had more than one person make it a point in asking why I'm the only person in the world who regularly uses semi-colons in text message conversations.

    The best I can tell them is it's chic, unique, and the best of the available colons.

    The only one I use on message boards is "Pics or GTFO!". :)

    If I'm texting/emailing a chick, I find myself sometimes using "Lol". In general, I'll also occasionally use shorthand for certain words when texting, e.g., "u" for "you".

    Personally, I've never found it to take up a significantly more amount of time when typing on a message board to use proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization. Call me old school in that I believe the way in which you communicate your message also speaks about yourself.

    They drive me crazy! I hate them! Aside from LOL or the occasional ROFL you won't ever catch me using them.

    What I really hate is when a new one comes along like QFT or OP, I have to waste time looking the damn things up. They make me insane!
