    Technically, the Rose Bowl is the Rose Bowl (televised by abc) and the national championship game is wholly separate from it and will be televised by Fox, unfortunately.

    No, I looked it up. ABC does get to broadcast the championship when the Rose Bowl hosts it. So 2010 and 2014 they will show it. Then I think their current deal expires.
