Playoffs

?

Which would you prefer?

  1. Rockets make playoffs as 7th/8th seed and acquire valuable playoff experience. Fill holes through FA

  2. Rockets (by tanking) get high draft pick who could be a potential franchise player or huge bust.

If we posted the same 45-37 record as last year, we would make the playoffs this season.

Seattle and Utah are both 44-37 tied for the 7th seed now...

So, what would you rather have happen???

I would actually like to build our experience in the playoffs, kinda hard to do when we have so many injuries though.

ps: in the poll "high" has two different meanings in each choice.

When this team is fully healthy, we are definitely a playoff team. We don't need anymore francise players. Our core is already set with Steve, Cuttino, and Eddie, with a decent supporting cast. We still need a big man to fill up the middle, though.

So I voted for playoff experience.

I dont see how any Rocket fan could not want their team in the playoffs. Yes, getting a high lottery pick is always nice, but I think it is much sweeter being a playoff team. Whenever I think about the Rockets now, it is depressing. This board would be so much more upbeat if we were even say, the 8th seed. So to answer the question, isnt it always the ultimate goal to make the playoffs and then see what you can do when your in the tourney? After all, look at our 95 team.
