I think that issue has been resolved long ago. Lousy record companies wanting to make money off of what they produce.
So you'd want to send part of the profits you make at a garage sale to the manufacturer of the product you sold?
I'm actually a little surprised that it's not treated the same as software resale. Well, not surprised that it's not treated that way, but surprised that the RIAA isn't trying to push things that way. Even though software companies never even care, it states in most user licenses that you must ask the company if you want to re-sell the software, and then they'll give you the go-ahead. But no one checks with the software companies, and the software companies don't care. I doubt the record companies would feel the same though.
