    edit: Probably no price cut for the remainder of 2008. Just good deals like this every so often.

    oh ya, i saw this deal. i will head over to the local store to see if they will honor the online deal. if not, i will go to best buy or something to get one. i can never catch these good deals because i don't check it often enough. just sold a guitar for about $200, so i got 50% money, just need to figure out where to get the other 50%. :D

    oh another thing, are PS3 reliable? i don't want to buy extra extended protection ****. just plain machine and a game/movie or two.

    does XBOX have external Blu-ray unit that i can buy later? if not, i will go with PS3.

    360 has no such blu-ray offering.

    PS3 has almost no reliability issues to speak of.

    I have 2 80gbs that are the older models that are backwards compatible.

    I bought a PS3 recently. Xbox didn't have an external blu-ray, and I pretty much leaned towards the PS3 so I could watch Iron Man on Blu Ray. Game selection has gotten better as well as the playstation store, so I'm satisfied.
